Yet a group of advisers to Mayor A C Wharton recently wondered who sells Memphis to Memphians. The notion of Memphis having self-image issues isn't new, and it wasn't helped by that silly Forbes magazine survey earlier in the year that gave us a high misery ranking.

Mayor Wharton stepped up, smacked down the Forbes naysayers and joined us on a tour of some of the top spots in town. All you have to do is look around to see reasons to enjoy life in the Bluff City.
